Others about Teatro Punto:
Pascale Lecoq, École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq
"I am pleased to write this letter. I think that this kind of theatre needs a new approach, detached from its historical context to which it is too often limited. Thanks to initiatives, such as the workshop offered by the Punto theatre, the Commedia dell´Arte becomes a theatre of tomorrow."
Donato Sartori and Paola Piizzi, Direttrice Museo Internazionale della Maschera
"The theatre company Teatro Punto has organised master classes in which they have created an important and significant event. We believe in the near future in a collaboration to intensify our relationship in developing and researching the masks. We firmly believe that the actor and director Carlos Garcia Estevez is an extraordinary pedagogue and interpreter, specially a sharp actor in interpreting not only the Commedia dell' Arte masks, but 'masks' even in contemporary theatre."
Ellada Evangelou, Director Rooftop theatre, Cyprus
"The Teatro Punto workshop proved out to be one of the best experiences I have had in my quests, for two main reasons: the technique and the people. The distinctive success of the experiment lies in the honesty with which Teatro Punto has reconstructed Commedia dell' Arte, into a new ' type of Commedia', always with the claim that the search will never end for them, and that each new player can (and will) bring something new."
Judith Macdonell, Director/teacher, IB theater Upper Canada College
"After over 30 years in theatre as an actor, director, and teacher, it has been my pleasure to engage in a variety of international workshops. This summer was exceptional in this regard. I had the privilege of discovering the essential ingredients of physical theater This summer I got ' the point' with Punto. I highly recommend this workshop."
